I installed an aftermarket radio in my 940. Now my headlights and dash lights don't work. My driving lights work and the dash lights work with them but if I switch to headlights the dash lights and head lights don't work. I can hold the flash high beams switch and the high beams will stay on as long as I hold the switch. I checked all the fuses and nothing is blown.

I also don't know if I hooked up the new radio right because I need a wiring diagram. The radio can be turned on with the car turned off. None of the wiring made any sense. I also bypassed the power amp and ran new wires to all the speakers. This is a real mess and I wish I just left it alone. Can anybody help?

You might want to check any car manual for that.

my brother just rely on his manual for issues like that.

I'm having the exact same problem with my 940 volvo as Bob. Please submit answer to problem if anyone knows. My problem still exists even after a return to the old radio. Relay is good in the fuse /relay panel behind the ash tray, "have tried one that is working off another car". If there is another relay under the hood or other than the fuse/relay box please advise.

solved my headlight problems.... you must connect the yellow and white wires together. they apparently must be wired together to complete circuit...
