Can someone please tell me how to tighten the armrests on a 1990 Vanagon? All are loose, and one is non-functional. I can't figure out how to get into them without puncturing the outer cover.

Hello, This is a common problem. There is a spit-pin between seat side and armrest. Push back hard on the armrest stuffing and you will see the pin in the shaft. Tap it out with a tip of screwdriver and mallet. Armrest will come off and you can see the screws in seat side that need to be tightened!Install is reverse...put on armrest, line up holes all the way through, tap in split pin (all the while pushing back armrest stuffing!)

Desperate in Las Vegas ... I own a 1990 VW Vanagon. I need a passengers seat left side armrest ... grey velour interior, selling car ... will pay good money $$$ any ideas where? thanks rich in Vegas 702-382-1882 or email VIVA LAS VEGAS!
