I drive a 2001 VW Polo Playa 1.6i. I heat ceased the motor about a month ago and had the motor reconditioned (oil pump and oil filter as well) and the car drives and sounds fine but the oil light keeps coming on. After suggestions I had the oil pressure switch replaced and the light still keeps coming on, during one driving experience at first the light would come on and would go off again and then further driving the light would only come on as I accelerate then the light would come on and stay on and every time the light comes on it beeps as well then the next morning the light would be off for about 40km and then start the same procedure again. I have been told the motor should have ceased by now as I have been driving the car like this for about 500km and the motor still sounds fine? any ideas?
