Not sure if you all familiar with Bugat5speed, but due to the number of requests that we receive regarding scooby motors into T25 or similiar, we figured we would chime in with some info.

Relatively a new comer to the US market is Bug@5speed with our Porsche gearbox conversion kits and subaru conversion parts. Bug@5speed is based out of Germany and has been in the business of providing innovative and quality products for many years.

Wanted to inform folks about this key product which is our shortened sump, to meet the needs of customers who are leveraging the capabilities of the EJ Series Subaru motor into their vehicles.

Some Product Details:

-Works with EJ 2.0, 2.2 and 2.5 blocks

-The sump is sandcasted like all our other parts.

-The capacity of oil is 4, 25 litres (thatīs only 0, 25 less than original). If you shorten an original sump you loose about a 1 litre.

-It is very stabile (you can put a hydraulic lifter under it and lift the car), so nothing happens if the car is low and the sump hits the floor). If you have the original sump, thatīs virtually impossible.

-The cooling properties are much better than with the original one. Water temperature is reduced by about 10 degrees Celsius, if you switch from original to the bug@5Speed sump.

-The pick-up tube inside the sump must be modified (shortened). But thatīs no big deal. Anyone who does such a project will easily handle this task.

-The original dipstick can be used, but must be shortened a little.

- Overall dimmentsions are 275 x 320 x 120 mm (length, width, height).

*** One key point, these sumps will interfere with the stock motor mounts, if your using the RJES conversion. Will require modifications of mounts.

hi how much will it cost to fit a subaru engine i have the engine just need the other stuff and where is the best place to get it thanks

Hi Alex,

Have come across your site whilst surfing for info. I have purchased a EJ20t engine to fit a 1989 MV engined Caravelle. This engine after a lot of web surfing looks a bit more complicated a conversion, can you supply any helpful info?. I will pay for wiring diagrams etc. Also i would like to purchase the sump. Can you supply price and shipping cost, I am located in Sydney Australia, Where are you based?
