well im getting a double cab in the next 2 weeks. i was wondering whats the main problems with these vw. what to do to maintain... easy to fix? are the parts easy to get your hands on? thank you

Hi..Very nice that you are buying a double cab. They are not that hard to maintain at all. Look for rust as most of them have it, and that could get really expensive to fix. Look on www.thesamba.com It is a great site and you can learn alot from people there.

The other day I saw a VW Vanagon drive buy, it was a all wheel drive pickup, just like the old 6 packs. This was a newer model. Any idea what they are called or where they came from?
