i went out to start my truck this morning and it wouldnt turn over. i would get a little bit and then it would slowly get nothin at all. it cant be the glowplugs because i just had 4 new ones put in. the battery is brand new so it cant be that either. anyone have any ideas/suggestions let me know.

possibly the fuel pump is getting weak. can you hear the pump when you turn the key on?

I have a 1982 VW Rabbit Diesel with new rebuilt engine and I have been driving it around but yesterday it wouldn't start. It has new everything. I think it is a fuel/glow plug problem as I see that the glow plug lite on the dash doesn't go on all of a sudden. Anyone know where to find this selenoid? I have a Haynes manual, but those things aren't worth much.

I'd like to buy a really good repair manual for this little truck so that I can do all the upkeep on it myself.
