Volkswagen-New GTI -
battery losing charge

I was going through a battery every month on my 2003 VW GTI. There was an amplifier hooked directly to the battery that I disconnected. now the battery lasts about 2 months. I have been jump starting the car and it starts right up, no problem. The car runs great after that. It seems to try and hold a charge, but still something isn't right. Also the air conditioner does not work, also seems electrical.
