Toyota-Tacoma - noise when first start on cold mornings

I have a 03 Tacoma around 63, 000 miles. Since it has been getting colder, live in VA recently, I have noticed what I first thought was an indication of low oil pressure (knocking) when I first drive off on first start up from sitting overnight. Does anyone havs an idea what this might be. I now am thinking maybe fan belts. I want some idea when I take to shop so I won't get ripped off.

Don I'm new to this forum but I know Toyotas especially trucks I've had a couple 2 wheel drives but I love 4x4s since I'm new I'll put out a little resume. In 4x4s I've had an 81, 86xtra cab, a 94 with 22re motor got T-boned that one broke my heart and last week I bought my new baby 1999 tacoma 4x4 with big 4 banget 2.7ltr DOHC 165HP over 130, 000 miles but thats just broke in I got it for 3 grand needed a bumper. To your problem the older toyota trucks with high miles have always rattled a little on the lower end cold but with your low miles I would change the oil and filter using a 5w 30w oil and substitute 1 qt of oil with Lukoil oil additive it comes in a qt. bottle, its white, comes to a point. It comes out real thick once you pomp it through the system you never have a dry start. It costs about $9.00 Qt. I changed the oil as soon as I got my truck and with the high miles I substitued 2 Qts. and the 2.7Ltr motors hold almost 6 Qts. I think this should fix your problem. At the least you've done an early oil change. Let me know Dave
