2009 RAV4 DOORS DON'T LOCK AUTOMATICALLY AFTER I START A TRIP

I bought a 2009 Rav4 sports couple of months back and noticed that doors won't lock automatically as they do in my 05 Corolla LE after I start a trip. Is there something wrong with the car or does it need some programming? Can someone tell me what to do? Thanks

mine don't lock and I could not find anything in the manual that says it will or should. I thought all cars did this now due to security reasons
