I took my new Prius down a moderate slope with some ruts to a stream and found it couldn't get back up - the minute either wheel spun at all it lost all power. I assume the ESC system stepped in and stopped it. Has anyone found or devised a lightweight removable winch that would hook to the tow ring and run off the lighter outlet? Obviously it couldn't be very powerful, but it might be enough to help the car get out of mild problems (since it apparently can't do that itself). Even a come-along and a tow rope might be worth carrying.
