2000 Celica GT A/C comes on then goes off and the light on the button is flashing. Had system recharged and the magnetic clutch relay is good. put a jump wire across the poles under the relay and the compressor will run. Any ideas?

what ive been hearing that works for some people is to clean out the ac filter located behind the glove box

I have a 2003 Celica GT-S and it started doing the same thing a couple weeks ago. Took out the filter and cleaned it but still blinking. Now if I turn my car on and the air is set on low already the AC light will come on automatically...thinking maybe electrical problem? I had an issue a while ago where only half the lights on the air flow dial would light up but it went away...any ideas??

Problem was happening with my 2003 Celica. Was told that its the A/C relay that needs to be changed -- electrical problem.
