instrument panel light wiring

i hav just recently installed subwoofers in my car, and early the next day my instrument panel lit up fine no problem, but later i hopped in my car to go out and then my I/P or my climate control wouldn't light up at all. i was wondering would it be my dimmer switch that has failed cause all the warning lights still light up fine. email me if you know something about this problem please cause now i cant drive at night.

im need to know what color wire is for the highbeam from the dimmer switch on a 1997 saturn SL1
