i have a problem with my sc2 1997 manual, when i start from the idle when my engine is hot the motor seem jam when my throtle is open about 10%, the engine trouble look like if the fire is cut or it's look like that the engine as no fuel for about one second this problem is only when my motor is hot, the trouble could be as i close the throtle and suddenly i open very fast the throtle.the car is hard to drive when i ride on the higway sometime the motor have many missing and this trouble is always when the motor is hot and the throtle is open about 10% there are a good guys for help me ????

Hello Stephane, Sound like the egr valve may be sticking open a little. I have the same car year 2000, I had to unplug the egr valve to get the engine from hesitating wile under way. Just so you know, an engine light came on when I did this, that goes away after the egr is pluged back in, and after 20 starts or so.

Is the check engine light on? if so try to get some one to check the code that it is in. This can sometimes point you right to the problem. Most of the sensors on the vehicle will give a trouble code when they go begin to go out or fail. If there is no check engine light on then the problem is not being seen by the computer, like a stiking egr valve for example.

My also be a durty mass air flow sensor, also had this trouble as my car burns some oil as it runs, durting the egr valve, it's lines and the mass air flow sensor.

If you can get someone to check the trouble codes, they may also be able to look at the coolent temp, if this sensor is on it's way out it may begin to lie to the computer, making the computer think the engine is very hot or very cold at any given time. At the same time also check the position of the exselerator pedal from 0-100%, making sure there is no hickups from 0 to 100, as this will most defintly make the engine do some funky stuff.
