Saturn-L200 - engine light on constant,one cyclinder replaced,no inprovement

The computer indicated a misfiring in a cyclinder. All 4 cyclinders were flushed out without improvement. One cyclinder was replaced. The light remained on and the computer still indicated a misfiring cyclinder. The mechanic stated it was an "internal engine problem. No solution offered.

I had the same thing occur with my saturn and finally found out the misfire was occuring from a failing oxygen sensor. The code for the sensor was never picked up by the diagnostics. I also replaced the inner compartment air filter behind the glove box when the sensor was changed and the misfire went away.
