Anyone out there ever have problems with the oil pressure light coming on and the alarm sounding? engine is at running temp only happens when at a stop sitting at idle.

My SAAB 9-5 had the same problem, I took it in to have that and several other things checked out. My oldich 1998 9-5 has a smill mesh over the pick-up pype that sits inside the oil sump. These gets cluttered-up, and as sonn as the oil gets hot and the demand is high, it prevents proper oilflow. Cleaning the mesh should help.

I had simillar problem on my 2.2 tid. I fixed it by replacing oil pressure sensor
