My daughter parked the care perpendicular to a curb on a high crowned road with a deep gutter. We had a deluge and the front part of the engine compartment got flooded before she could get it towed. It was high enough to leak into the car and soak the carpet. I had the car towed to my house, because it won't start and its been drying for 4 days. It turns over, but it doesn't fire up. All the lights come on appropriately. The air filter was dry from the beginning. I drained the oil and refilled it just in case water got down the dipstick, but didn't see any water drain out and the oil was not milky. The fuse link engine boxes are dry inside. I pulled a spark plug and coil and they appeared dry although I havent tested them.
Does anyone know how I should go about this methodically so I can find the issue? Not even sure where to start and I'd rather do this myself. I'm an average to better than average amateur car mechanic. Still learning, though.
