I have a 99 nissan fronteir and the blower motor only run on high is the switch bad or is it the resistor

Just purchased a 2001 4cyl Frontier with manual a/c. When I bought it it only operated on high speed. Did some research and ended up buying a resistor chip for $22.00. The resistor is right under the glove box. Two srews hold it in. Worked like a charm. Five minute install time. Buy the new one when you see the shape of it wou see will see the old one rifgt away. Dont worry that the chip is half the size of the old one, works fine.
