I had my 1984 300 ZX repainted and since then I can't keep my battery charged. I don't drive the car on a regular basis so I disconnect the battery cables when I have it sitting in my garage. But when I connect battery cables to terminals the tail lights automatically come on. I can jump the battery and the car runs until I turn it off again. Any ideas on how to go about correcting the short?

dose anyone know why the MAF sensor would go bad in my `86 na/300zx, it was acting up intermitedly, so i bought a rebuilt one , installed it, went for a 12 mi.ride and it was fine.today i started it up and...it was not working, rev to 2000 and die down to zero.....dont know any more.scott

Hey ,

Noticed a (flasher) type noise coming from underneath my dash board. So got under there, removed some electrical tape off one of the harnesses. Located a Pink/black wire coming from fuse box *ECM terminal. Once I followed the wire through the harness, saw that wire had melted itself to another wire. The pink/black wire was so melted that the wire was hanging out and in some spots there was no more insulator. So, after tracing the wire, I chopped off the damaged and left about 2-3 inches of what seemed to be good wire so that I can splice a wire in between that and the fuse box. My question is, is there a certain type of wire that I should use or can I use any type of wire as long as it is the same size or larger?

I have a 1984 nissan 300Z.I an having a problem with the alarm. It keeps going off and you have to turn the key twice to shut it off. Is it in the door or in the main harness?
