Building and flying radio control model aircraft is the perfect hobby!

Eventually you can look forward to being the pilot of a real aircraft between a few inches and 20 feet in wingspan. You will takeoff, perform complicated aerobatics and land using as much skill as the pilot of a full size aircraft.

Because you are not sitting in the cockpit but are controlling the aircraft from a remote location, some aspects of flying will be especially difficult and you will take years to fully develop the necessary skills. Your aircraft might be anything from an exact scale copy of a World War 1 triplane, to an outrageously aerobatic stunt plane, to a modern jet airliner, to something you have created yourself that doesn't look remotely like any other aircraft.
