what is the difference between a 3000gt sl and a 3000gt base

SL is the middle version, before you get to twin-turbo/active aerodynamic/all-wheel steering/all-wheel drive/active exhaust heaven.

SL has substantially more power, around mid 250s, compared to the base at 165.

SL has the dual/quad exhaust, it looks and sounds wonderful, I'm not sure the base has this, but don't hold me to that, it might have been a base Stealth I was looking at.

I'm pretty sure the option list on the SL is quite a bit longer than on the base, so do your homework before committing, unless you've already got the answers!

The big brother (VR-4) has around 300 horsies, along with the added torques to go with it. If given the choice (I was) then I'd go with the SL over the base model, but the VR-4 over all others, I chose the SL and am happy with the performance (so far)

the base is just that basic car it has very few options the sl

is a base model but you get more options better rims leather cd player ect the vr4 has it all in all i mean leather twin turbo all wheel drive and steering and standard trans plus a list a mile long of other options. i have a vr4 and they are bad ass

but i have to sell mine to buy a bigger car my wife is preg and there is no back seat room. if anyone is interested email me josh.marrs@yahoo.com

ok ok, so let me tell u something my two friends dont know; Base and SL has the same power 222 HP since 91-96, The difference was just a few electronic thing, but in editions 97-99 base had changed at 165 hp bc of the price (more cheap)and SL keeps 222hp plus other electronics diferences again.

VR4 has always been 300 hp, same with 97-99 VR4 spider, and of course spider its more expensive

So if u wanna buy a BASE be sure its 91-96, otherwise get an SL.

Japanese used Mitsubishi pajero Lancer Pajero mini are also good looking cars then why you people looking for 3000gt?
