What is the message boards experience with driving the Mercedes 300TD (n0n-turbo) with manual trans., compared to driving the 300D and 300TD with the more common automatic trans.? I have always liked the 4 cyl. 240D with manual trans. over the automatic. Does the 300TD with 5 cyl. diesel give you much more performance?
