I have inherited my Dad's 1980 300D Mercedes Benz. It has the five cylinder diesel, sunroof, electric windows, automatic trans, air conditioning and 92, 000 original miles. It has always been garaged and never in an accident. It has always been well maintained and that it documented with reciepts. I currently have it stored in my toy with a 1966 GTO Convertable and 1964 Corvette, as well as my other stuff. If there is anyone out there who is looking to purchase a low mileage well maintained 300D I need the space and would part with it for a fair price. Make me an offer. Thanks, Jon

I would suggest before you even start the car you clean out the fuel tank or have someone do that for you. I am learning that diesel grows mold and is troublesome once circulated throughout your systems. My mechanic put a secondary fuel filter that is so easy to change it has a clear caseing so you are able to check out whats in there. There is also a product that was recommended to me call seafoam motor cleaner that I put straight into the tank and it helps to clean out the system. This is after of course you drained the old diesel and had the tank steam cleaned. Will do you right!!!
