My front differential went out on my 1999 Lexus LX470. Has anyone else had this problem. The last time I drove it was during the 2008 December snow storm in Washington We put it in 4WD to get out of a snow bank, eventually had to have it towed out and put into my garage. Didn;t drive if for 6 months, when I returned to my vacation home in July and brought it out of the garage it was making horrid sounds so I had it towed to Lexus. It is under waranty, but mechanic says he has never heard of this happening and warrantee may not cover it.
