96 LS400 Catalytic converter failure

I have a Lexus LS400, 1996., 129, 000 miles and check engine light on after I tuned up and changed oil. I took it to Auto-Zone and Advance Parts, they checked it and P420, P430 code were shown on the scanner. These mean that two catalytic converters failed. I called the Lexus dealer and they said that it will cost me a lot.. In addition, they need to find out the root cause of the problem, means oil or coolant leaks to the converter and caused failure, something leaks. It will cost me a lot more more. Does anyone has experienced with 96 LS400 catalytic converter failure and willing to share me with your experiences. Thank you in advance.
