engine question

I have a IS 300, and it is making a clicking sound coming from the engine. It's not all the time just when it is idling. I need some help with suggestions as to what might be causing it.

You dont typically hear it until your at idle, most likely its gonna be the relay for your electric fans that kick on and off as needed.

I just wanted to know if the IS300 motor is a low clearance motor or not. What I am really asking is if you need to change the timing belt before it breaks so that the engine is not trashed?

hi derrick i will say that noise is valve lifters , check the oil level , sometime when low it will make noise or tray us different oil, but is not dangerous for engine if you drive hard engine will take oil bolive or not

i have a IS300I TRIED TO TURN IN ON AND ALL THE ELECTRICAL POWER TURNED OFF AND THE BATTERY STILL HAVE POWER

hey my 2001 is300 check engine lite is on and fuel gage stuck on full when car is on only iam north side chicago anyone knows of place you cut trust to see whats going on.

I have 2001 IS300 with 190k miles and still runs great. I was wondering how much more this engine can handle. Does anyone know?

Mellisa , Have you tried to wiggle you battery cabls that's what happened to me they may just be loose

Having starting problem with my '04 IS300. Battery is not the issue as it's a recent one and the car does start after pumping the gas pedal a few times in the mornings. Have the turn the key several times before the engine finally starts. You hear clicking sounds when turning the key to the start position. Not sure if the starter is dirty and just needs a cleaning or something more serious and just replace it with another one to avoid the headaches? Any and all thoughts, suggestions, ideas welcomed.
