Are the dashboard needles (speedo, tach etc.) supposed to be lit? All needles are black and impossible to see at night.

They are supposed to be lit, but it's a major expense to fix because (I'm told) the entire assembly has to be replaced. Stupid engineering imo. Best get used to it unless someone has a less expensive remedy. I have the same issue.
