wipers only work in high position. Low and delay not qorking and when wipers are turned off, they do not go into park position. Is this a wiper motor problem or some eletrical problem?

I'm having the same problem with my 2000 Wrangler Sport. Only now the wipers aren't working at all. I know my switch is still good because when I pull down on it to wash the windshield the sprayer still works. Sometimes I can manually move the wipers when they're turned on, but that's all the movement I get. I was looking at prices for new motors, but they're looking expensive. If you find out anything please let me know before I end up spending more than i have to. Thanks - Ransom

Hey all.....same here! Total pain to deal with with. There is a Chrysler Service Bulletin on the Intrument Cluster that has also affected my car. This issue on the bulletin will cause your gauges on your dash to cease operating and go to zero and the red airbag comes on. Then youn may get a "no buss" indicator where your milage is typically displayed. Am starting to think these problems are all related to THAT instrument cluster issue. Dampness and cold all play into this! checking into it now with my 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport

I own a 98 tj...and have had problems with the instrument cluster since day one. Basically, I push in on the cluster and the gages start working and then die and or stop working all together. Now the wiper motor no longer works. steve

to all. this is an apparent problem with older jeeps. i have a 98 yj. have had all kinds of problems with wipper. the sterring colume is a gmc colume. the problem is with the wipper relay module. from jeep the part is $200 + install. i found it at rockauto.com for @80. it is an easy fix. just unplug and plug in the new one. hope this helps.
