blinkkers and wipers won't work

I just bought a 97 jeep wrangler from a guy yesterday, I was so excited to have another wrangler that i didn't bother to check the simple stuff like the blinkers and wipers and radio, etc.I started checking it all last night, and the wipers, radio, blinkers and cigarette lighter don't work.The head lights, hi-lo beams, all gauges, tail lights and reverse all work.I was told by a few shops that it could be as simple as a bad or loose ground wire.I have check all the fuses and the corresponding ones are not blown.Anybody out there have a clue what's going on or has had this problem?Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have a 1990 jeep wrangler, the handle to the blinkers & wipers was broken so I replaced it with a new one but wipers still don't work, when I plug the rear window wiper in they turn on but dont stop is there something i'm missing?
