TOUGH TECHNICAL PROBLEM-EVEN DEFIES THE DEALERSHIP MECHANICS:'97 WRANGLER REFUSES TO START; CRANKS BUT HAS NO SPARK EVEN AFTER NEW COIL, PLUGS, WIRES, ROTOR, CAP AND CAM POSITION SENSOR. BRAIN WILL NOT DISPLAY ANY CODES AFTER 3 IGNITION KEY ON-OFFS, EVEN AFTER ALL TEST LIGHTS SEQUENCE. TOWED TO DEALERSHIP FOR THE "EXPERT" ANALYSIS: NEEDS NEW PRICEY BRAIN, THEY SAID. LOCAL SALVAGE GUY PRODUCED 2ND, AFTER FIRST REPLACEMENT; ALL SYMPTOMS REMAIN UNCHANGED. ONLY OTHER CLUE IS THAT EVEN THOUGH BATTERY IS FULLY CHARGED, THERE IS NO VOLT METER READING WHEN KEY TURNED ON. ANY IDEAS? THIS TJ DESERVES MORE THAN PAPER WEIGHT STATUS. if the "experts" say it needed a brain as you call it(ecm) and you've changed it with no results i would check to make sure you are getting power and ground to the ecm without power and ground it will act just like it has brain freeze
