I changed the fuse and lights worked. Drive a mile or so and the fuse blew... no parking or dash lights. Replaced light switch, same problem. Turns out the the factory installed trailer harness worked its way over to the tail pipe which melted the harness and wires inside so they were touching when the tail pipe got hot. Cut out the melted section, crimped the wires together... lights work fine.
