Brake Light Doesn't Work When Headlights Are On - Need To Replace Socket

Could NOT fix the brake light by using posted instructions. Looks like the socket must be replaced with a new one. Noticed removable white pin in the socket, but could not detach the socket after pulling out the pin. HOW TO REMOVE THE OLD SOCKET AND HOW TO REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE ON A JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO?
