1990 Jeep Cherokee- No Start

I have 1990 jeep cherokee, in great condition, except I cant get the the starter to work. At one time I had the starter working. The engine would turn over and start. Although, once the engine was turned off, it wouldnt start again and would act like a bad battery. However, after sitting for a couple of hours, it would start right up!!!??? Weird !!! So Have replaced the battery, Starter, Relay. - all new, yet still a no-go. Any ideas out there?
