Power windows do not go up or down and power locks do not work

from drivers door. Interior lights stay on.

I have a 2004 cherokee and last night the power windows don't work, the power locks don't work from the drivers door and the interior lights stay on. Did you ever get an answer to your question? I would appreciate any help.

I have the same problem. power windows, door locks and power mirrors will not work from the drivers side. fuses are o.k. Can anyone help with this problem?

We just had this same exact problem, on the drivers door take off the little black boot... in there one of our wires was messed up (ours was black not sure if its the same for all) we just fixed the wire and now the windows, locks, and lights all work properly!!

I had the same problem in my 97 jeep grand cherokee. Only the passenger side window worked. No power to mirror, or door locks. I checked all fuses, and I also checked the wires on the drivers door, where the boot is and all was fine. No broken wires. I didn't want to pay for another switch so I proceded to take the door panel off to check the switch myself. I wiggled the plug and every now & then I felt power to the windows. So I unplugged the harness & I found a spiderweb. It looked like a small ball of cotton. I also found that the contact pins had some oxidation. I cleared out the spiderweb and cleaned the contacts with some sandpaper. I plugged it back in and It solved my problem. It was a little time consuming, plugging & unplugging to make sure it worked, but Im glad I didn't have to put any more money out. If you have the time, & some simple tools, I suggest you try this.
