my top is rather slow to go UP. down is fine.

on the way UP it stops half way, the wing window do go up but i have to pull the top up.

question: is this a fluid system? does it need to be charged. any ideas?

i had this problem in one of my convertible and I took it to get looked at and it turned out to be some kind of motor part in one the the things that make the top go up and down. I got it fixed, and it wasnt the much to have it fixed. I would just take it to your local garage and have it looked at so that way they can tell you professionally what is wrong and then give you a price on fixing it.

IM WORKING ON A 94 JAGUAR XJS . THE CONVERTIBLE TOP DOES NOT WORK. THE SWITCH IS GOOD , AN I HAVE POWER AT THE FUSE BY THE RELAYS IN THE TRUNK. IS THE LITTLE FUSE BOX UNDER THE HOOD THE ONLY ONE. ANY HELP OR WIRE DIAGRAMS PLEASE DAZED AND CONFUSED

There is another fuse box behind the pssgr seat in the cubby.

I'm having trouble getting the rear side windows down on my 1990 convertible -- am I missing a switch or is their function part of the top motor system?
