question for any owner of a 96 xj6 jag

i just recently purchased a 96 xj6 from a friend and original owner. great condition, driven for a week now by me.

a small red light came on the other day on the right stack of warning lights, at the bottom. i have no owner's manual (lost years ago.) it is the one at the bottom of the stack. it came on and stayed on for 5 mins then went off. car sat for an hr, driven then 2 miles and it came back on and stayed on.

this being my first jag i cannot decipher the symbol....it is sort of a rectangle, could be a battery or an engine light, with what looks like waves at the bottom of the rectangle.

any ideas? car was super serviced before i bought it, with no known problems. it took a 600 mile round trip just a mont ago with no probs by the previous owner. i am wondering if it needs water in battery (symbol could be a battery) or oil or even anitfreeze.

any help gratefully appreciated. also, any ideas as to where to get an owner's manual? i've owned Japanese and german cars and have 2 now as well....but this jag symbol i can interpret.

Maybe itś the screen washer bottle at the front drivers side behind headlamps. I thought it was the radiator on my car (faulty).

After about three years I discovered it was the water container described

I have a 1990 soverign xj6, recently it's real hard to sart after sitting overnight and then it starts right off the rest of the day. the fuel filter was pluged so I put a new one on and checked the fuel preasure and it holds the preasure so it's not the check valve. could it be an electrical sensor like cold start or the ignition switch. there is no voltage to the pump in position 2 not running but the voltage is good in 3 and after it is running, fuel fail 14 shows up on the VCM. any help would be greatly apreciated.

I have a 1990 Jaguar Van Plas a light came on in the upper left corner looks like a bell and it was X out I do not have an owner manual can you tell me what does it mean

I have a symbol that looks like a ring with an x over it coming on when I step on the brakes. When the car is in park and I step on the brake I can hear a click in the gear box where the shifter is. Any ideas what the symbol means???

I have a warning light coming on a sovreign 1989 4 litre, it looks like a bulb with a cross through it (shows up amber). I have checked the external lights and they all appear to be fine. Does it mean something else?

I am looking for an owner's manual for a 1994 XJS convertible. I cannot figure out how to open the glove box since there doesn't seem to be a latch anywhere..thanks for any help

I have just been given a 1991 xj6 / xj40 to do up. I have a couple of warning lights coming on the dashboard that I don't recognise. Anyone know where i can find out what they are? all lights, engine, brakes etc work fine so I don't know what the 2 warning lights are for.
