My radio works intermittently.

When switched on, by the radio knob or when the ignition is swiched on, the radio will come on and the radion station identity is displayed but no sound can be heard.

However, after a short time (10- 20 minutes)

the station can be heard and the radio works normally. If the ignition is switched off for a short while (minutes) the fault comes back when the ignition is switched on again.

The tape and CD player will play but no sound is heard and reimputting the security code makes no difference.

Just to be difficult, sometimes when the ignition is turned the radio behaves normally until the next time it is swiched off.
