My 1996 XJ12 has a weird problem. The check engine light comes on and stays on until we hook up the scanner which tells us that all twelve fuel-injector are malfunctioning. However there is nothing wrong with the fuel-injectors. All numbers are correct. So we zero the computer and the light will come on again after 1-20 miles and stay on. Same message. Does anybody have ny ideas what to do?

I own a 96 XJS 6cyl which I have had for 10 years. The "check engine" light has a mind of it's own to be honest. Sometimes goes on, sometimes is off. I have had the engine checked a number of times and there is never anything wrong. To be frank I guess I just do not pay much attention anymore. BUT that is just me
