CV Half Axle Removal

I am trying to replace both left and right CV Half Axles on my 99 Rodeo, 4WD (DOHC Engine). I have remove or unbolted everything I need to, including unbolting the front axle assembly from the frame. I cannot figure nout hown to get enough play to seperate either the right or left CV half axle splines from the front axle assembly. Any ideas, or tricks?
