I have a 1994 isuzu pick up with a carb that will not run! I can start it from a cold start and the engine will idle up like its warming up just fine, but when i ht the gas to "kick down" the idle the engine wants to die. I have to drive with one foot on both the break and the gas pedeal as the problem only occours when i stop the vehicle like at a light other wise the engine runs great. I have new plugs, wires, rotor and a fresh air filter so i am puzzled.

ya i had the same problem. its either the idle rpm tab (on the throttle lever on the carb) isnt bent enough to keep it running. or its the thing on the side of the carburetor that adjusts the fuel air mixture. it may be dirty, out of adjustment, or the parts are sticking internally. its located on the left side of the carb when facing the front of the car. i think its called the IAC motor
