How do I remove the electronic governor from my Tiburon? What is the top speed without it?

I believe the question you should be asking is how many more points you can handle on your license, and whether you believe that a casket is a nice place to "sleep" for the rest of eternity?

hey Ive got a 2004 tiburon does anybody know where to find performance parts specificly for it.... ie: exhaust, headers, performance chip, controller, intake..ect.

I've got a 2001 Tiburon, it doesn't have a govenor does it? I've already gotten it up to 140 without a problem. But the main question I am asking is: where can I get a "Powerchip" for it? I can't seen to find a performance chip for my year.

I'm guessing I'm going to have to have it custom made, but I'm sick of doing that. Thanks Greg

Hey Greg, you can find a chip for your 01 at autoanything.com For Tony, too, check out medallion racing and turbo-kits.com I have an 04 tiburon and was running into the same problems finding parts also. No luck on performance chips just yet though.

also, the tiburon limts your rpm's. You were just 3 mph short orf reaching it. God bless the 29 Palms desert and a long stretch of road to find this info out.

ive got an 01 tiburon..it doesnt have much get up and go if you know wat im talking about, wat can i do to make it quicker?

Someone said maybe a cold air intake or a new chip?

i have a 99 tiburon (4cldr). it dont have a govern control just a rev limiter. when i bought it every thing was stalk and it would run 125 on an absolutly flat stretch. i had her at top speed (125) and went down an steep incline and had it nearly ran 135 lol. now i have got a stainless tube header with full exust, and instead of getting a chip i bought a venom comp, cold air intake, 65mm throtlebody and what the outfit i bought it from called a stage 3 camset intake and exust. believe it or not it dynoed out at 234ph on the ground 257 on the fly a big jump from the factory 147 or so. im now considering a turbo and nitros but i have allready gone trew 2 tranies not including the stock transmission. the great thing about this car is its a hyundia and it looks all stalk all the honda and focus boys dont take it to seriously until they see my tail lights. for parts look at http://www.sharkracing.com

...hey i have a 2007 Tiburon 2.7 SE...you can get on google and type in NGM (next generation motorsports)...they have some really good for the Tibs....good thing about tibs is they are already factory built to be supercharged so all you have to do is get the kit and put it on and you are ready to fly

i have a 2003 tiburon 2.0 4 cyl, i have replaced the whole Exhaust System and put a cold air intake system also. i want to know if i get the chip reprogrammed is it worth it and how much more HP will i get. my other question do they make a turbo or supercharger for my engine.

does any body want a stage 4 racing clutch? its got 7000 miles on it. its for a six speed manual. i just put a stage two on my 03 tib gt. the stage 4 was too agressive for me to drive on the road.

i have an 08 gt 2.7 l and i had it up to 160... damn that was fun i don't think it has a govenor cause my elantra also can get up to 140 so if it does have one it must be when you get over the posted limit on the speedometer

i have an 01 tibby 2.0L its pretty well turbo ready with ignition, full 2 1/2 exhaust with header, built trany, oversize intake mani an TB, and all those fun things. i just got lucky finding the parts i guess lol but i recently blew my head gasket an a piston ring an cant seem to find an aftermarket rebuild kit anywhere. if anyone could help id greatly appreciate it, thanks!

I am getting a 2008 Tiburon too, i would like to know where i can get performance upgrade parts, also where to get turbo charger or supercharger, just want to put so mush into this, also got a 1998 hyundai accent, i would like to customize that car too, anyone know where i can get air intakes, superchargers, and performance upgrades to either of these two cars?

you guys are retarded if you think your automatics would go faster if you reprogram the governor. yeah maybe like 5 to 15 mph but you WILL BLOW YOUR TRAINY! if you have a stick and a v6, thats another story but your talking about a 4 cylinder with a 4 speed (new tiburons dont have over drive). plus whoever said the tiburon is made for supercharger is dumb as hell because it depends, if you have a 2004 v6 racing block then yes but if you have a normal v6, 2003-2008 or even an 4 clyinder, then your ed. it is actually safer to have a supercharger but it would be cheaper to buy and install a turbo

I have a 2000 hyundai tiburon and finding parts for it its hard..so far I have a turbo T3/T4 with most of the parts, except for the fuel management system which I'll be using a piggy back instead..beside this point I don't if my engine would be able to take this turbo, I have a 2.0 4cyl engine/manual..should I need some pistons? what kind of fuel injectors should I get? I checked a couple of websites that you guys mention..and to be honest some of the part are mad expensive...

I mean I am almost close to finish this turbo..all I need is some help from yall...please...

I have a 01 Tibby and i was running late to turn in a paper for school so i stuffed it and got up to 115 but the needle didnt seem like it wanted to go much faster, but i thought 01 tibbys didnt have a governor? is this true? and if so how can i take it off?

I have a 2004 tiburon automatic gt and wanted to put a ( A+ Performance Chip) from ebay that will give me 130 Horsepower and 40 MPG. Are these kind of chips good or bad for the engine.
