filling gas tank 2006 Sonata

Sometimes when filling up the gas tank it will only fill part way and refuse to take on more fuel. After driving around for awhile the rest of the tank can be filled. This problem is infrequent.
If others have had this problem and have a solution please let me know.

I have a 2003 Accent and my gas tank acts as if it is full when in fact it is empty. I can only put .2-.3 gal in at a time and have to wait for the gas to clear out of the fill hose. The dealership says $700-900 to fix. Anyone else have a simular problem??
It is actually coming from the vapor recovery protion of the fuel system according to one sorce which makes more sense as to why the tank will not fill.
Is there a short fix on this??
