My 2003 Hyundai Sonata's radio comes on every time I hit a bump in the road. I could trouble shoot it, but have no clue as to how to get the dash apart to remove it.

I have the same problem with my 03 and plan to replace the radio entirely. Did you ever get directions on how to remove the dash around the radio? You really need to learn where the clips are so you can pry in the right spot.Mark

The airbag and batter light keep going on and off and the dash panel guages stick from time to time. Battery is about 3 months old. Car starts and runs great. Any ideas?

I can lock my doors with the fob, but I can't unlock them. I have to manually use the key and then unlock all the doors from the inside. Why is this?

Have a 2000 Sonata - looks and runs like new - today the power antenna stopped about 1/4 way down. Checked fuses under dash and also under hood. Tried web for schematics, trying to locate power antenna fuse - is it behind radio. PS my 2000 radio also goes on by it self once in a while.

I cant't get the cd to eject in my 2006 Sonata. The dealer said they would need to send the radio to Calif for repair. This is several hundred dollars. Is there any other way??

You'll think Im crazy, but my radio on my 2003 Sonata would go off every once in awhile. I found out if I keep a CD in the CD player at all times, it works just fine....

ADAM. THERE MUST BE SOME KIND OF DESIGN FLAW IN THE SONATA RADIO SYSTEM BECAUSE OF ALL THE SAME COMPLAINTS, I TO HAVE A 2001 SONATAWITH SAME PROBLEM.IF I RAN OVER A SMALL PEBBLE IN ROAD IT WOULD CUT OFF I FIGURED OUT HOW TO REMOVE IT. I DID A BENCH TEST ON IT. I COULD SLAP IT AROUND OR WHATEVER AND IT WOULD NOT CUT OFF. I PUT IT BACK IN THE CAR AND LIGHTLY TAP IT AND IT WOULD CUT OFF I DID THIS TWICE, AND YES I WIGGLED ALL THE WIRES TO MAKE SURE THAT WASN'T IT. SO I HAVE BEEN WITH OUT A RADIO FOR AT LEAST A YEAR NOW. THINKING OF INSTALLING AN AFTER MARKET IF THERE IS NO ANSWER TO THIS PROBLEM.

have a 2004 hyundai sonata, when at a light with foot on the brake and in drive, i get a bump in the engine, feels like I'm being hit lightly from the rear from another car.have been told that it was a plug wire arcing from the manifold, had all wires replaced, two weeks later same thing. if i put injector cleaner in works good for about three tanks of fuel and starts to do it again. would this be a sticky injector problem? and if so how do I figure out which one ?

I had the belts replaced on my 2003 Sonata now neither the radio nor the power locks work. The fuses seem fine. Also these fuses are different. Any ideas?

2008 Sonata about two months ago radio stopped. Took out fuses they were fine put them back in and the radio worked. Same thing happened several times. Called Jeff Wyler in Springfield Ohio where purchased said they couldnt do anything till I brought it in while not working. Won't stay broke long enough. Always comes back on. Also power surges, sounds like someone bangs fist on fender, it's the radio. Went to full volume static could not be turned down but could turn radio off. Still dealing with Jeff Wyler cuz still under waranty no resolution yet. It's like the radio is posessed.

Every one needs to call Hyundai @ 1800-633-5151 select consumer affairs then repair service and TELL THEM ABOUT THE RADIO AND DOOR LOCKING OR UNLOCKING PROBLEMS..... WE HAVE 2 SONATA'S 2000 & 2002, according to them there is NO PROBLEM AND THEY SAY THEY HAVEN"T RECEIVED ANY COMPLAINTS OF RADIO TURNING ON AND OFF OF ANY KIND. ON THE 2002 NOW EVEN IF YOU TAKE THE KEY OUT AND WALK AWAY YOU CAN WATCH YOUR ANTENNA GO UP AND YES THE RADIO IS ON. I had to take the 10 amp Auto fuse out. I have also gotten locked in my car THANK GOD the remote worked to unlock it cause it doesn't work to lock the doors we have to manually lock all 4 doors.MY BE IF EVERYONE CALLS IN THEN THEY WILL SEND OUT A RECALL ON THE RADIOS AND LOCKS EVEN IF YOUR CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND FIX THE DAM THINGS.

I have a 2002 Sonata and for the past 2 years I have to manually unlock the doors. This is such an inconvenience especially when you have children trying to get in the car at night or when its snowing or raining. I was told it would cost me $180 to replace the switch to the door locking system. Well in today's economy I have gone without automatic door locks for 2 years. Also is everyone aware of the recall on the subframe. Apparently on most Sonata there are fist size holes in the frame which will result in a complete or partial suspension control arm detachment from the vehicle. This means the wheel could fall off while driving your vehicle. Please contact your local dealership for repair and replacement, also file a report with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). TL-Rieser Columbus, Ohio

I have a 2006 HYUNDAI SONATA... with the Head Lights on they dim down very low then back on bright without doing anything... with the radio on it just turns off for about 3 or 4 seconds then turns back on... sometimes both happen the same time sometimes each thing happens different times... had in for service (Burns Hyundai, NJ)the last time they replaced the fuse box... they said it was defective... it seemed the problem went away... within a couple of days same problems started back...

Have a 2005 Sonata, and when I turn the car off, the radio continues to play. Hopefully turning it off manually saves my battery. Any suggestions?

I"m having the same kins of problems radio acts possessed on and off changing from c/d to radio . also alarm sets by itself and lock doors while inside weather car is running or not. the only way to get out is to turn off the ignition pull the key out and push the unlock button on remote.also hard to start sometimes takes a while.. seems like i hear two click in dash one on right side of steering column and them on the left and it then starts. help!! can't afford the dealer fix. unless there is a re call notice i don't know about.

I have a 2002 Hyundai Sonata GLS and the steroe has a mind of its own. It keeps going from radio to cd to tape all on its own. Antena going up and down because of this problem. Can't figure out what is wrong with it. Please advise. Thinking of replacing the whole radio. Will this fix the problem???

My 2004 Sonata would not start after I came out of work. I was given a jump to start the battery, which it did and I was able to come home. It appears that my break lights and rear lights stay on and this is what is draining the battery. How can this be fixed? Is it electrical, fuse?
