WE bought a sirius player for our 2005 Hundai Sonata, and can't figure out how to add the fm dirct adapter as we need to remove the radio. WE are not sure how to do this, any help is appreciated, thanks!

Open the tray to the left of the lighter. Slide something flat like a flat head screwdriver behind the trim piece and center surround. Gently pry it straight out starting from the bottom edge and working up the sided until you get all the barbed clips to pop out.

Disconnect the two upper cables, but the ones to the ac.heater can remain attached. You can set it aside.

You will see the four screws, two on each side, that hold in the stereo unit. Take them out, and slide the unit straight out toward you.

NOTE; You will need and adapter kit if you want to use a non-Hyundai radio. They do not follow DIN/ISO standards. Most kits give you an extra little shelf under the standard radio slot since the Hyundai radios are so much taller than the standard units, but not quite tall enough for a double slot.

Plus, you will need a harness, which is a female connector (matching the one on the back of the Hyundai radio) with a bunch of color coded wires coming off of it. Whatever radio/stereo you buy will likely come with it's own connector with a bunch of color coded wires. Butt-splice each pair of speaker wires, etc, with a crimped connectors(the common red ones are good for 22-18 gauge.)

The antenna connector was standard and fit my new stereo without a need for an adapter.
