My 2000 Elantra will not fuel properly. The pump shuts off every few seconds causing long and frustrating fuel stops. The check engine light has also come on. I have heard that the charcoal filter is the cause. How can this be repaired. Can you get the charcoal out of the canister and dry it. Why is it doing this at this time. The car has 31, 000 mile on it and well maintained. Has anyone got the real answer to this problem.
