| 92 honda civic - won't startI found a bulletin about a starting problem for a 92 honda civic. It gave instructions as to how to start the car by waiting and movinge accel. half way down. Is there a better solution to my starting problem? It cranks but it doesn't want to start. |
#106/19/08 00:47Ryan Vaughn | I have a 1994 CIVIC EX it has a 1.6 Vetec and a manual tran. I was driving and it fell on its face like i just ternd it off? Auto zone told me it was the ignishon moduel so i spent 256.99 on it. Still no start!!! and no spark!!! Ive looked at all my wiers ther good not bernt craced or fread. Ive shot gas in the intake steal nothing? I even went so far as to pull the plugs and there dry? Ive even put a electric tester on the coil and it has joos some one please help????? THANKS!! |
| Its your main relay also mae sure all wires are pluged in all the was make sure there still in place in wire conector I had the same problem and it was my fuel relay the soldering points in side of it were cracked Iam a tuner and I work on honda, acura for living |

| You might want to check your fan belt, its connected to the cam shaft i believe and if it breaks and you drive it without knowing, the engine head will beat itself to pieces.....i had this happen last year and it cost a small fortune to fix....now my car wont start...wont even turn over....put a new battery in it.... still wont start, not even turn over....so mad....i hope its a cheap fix..any ideas? |

| i have a 92 honda accord it would not start so i went to auto zone and had the battery tested and it came back as a bad battery. i just went and bought a new battery and it still wont start there is not even any power going to the doors or interior lights. if anyone has any ideas please let me know. thanks |
| Everyone seems to be having the same problem lately. Just recently my car died on the highway and wont start back up. It's cranking but not starting. I did a few things such as buying (new): fuel pump, fuel filter, Ignition coil (then a new distributor). I've checked the main relay, spark plugs, wiring and everything. Seems I have a short somewhere? I have to constantly replace the ignition coil in my distributor. Is this a short somewhere in my car? Or could it possibly be the fuel relay? |
| I bought a 1992 Honda civic dx 5 speed... It was working fine for 3 weeks until I had a tire blowout... I parked it outside my house for about 2 days and then all of a sudden it wouldn't start... I checked online to see what the possible problems were and I figured it was the main relay.. Desprite enough, I just bought a new main relay from Honda, swapped it out today, and now all I get is a click when I turn the key. I'm stomped and I don't know what's wrong with it if anyone can help... I'm willing to call someone up for advise and send pics of it and videos of me trying to start it so you can hear what it's doing...thank you for any help you and advise you can give. |
| I was on the highway & just winded down. I made it over. No restart like it had no gas. Replaced main relay with two & no luck. My ass-umption: Fuel pump. |
#1104/29/10 21:19tavares shine | I have a 98 civic car was running rebuild my y8 stock had a y7 n. Didn't replace crank sensor so I took it out and put back in the y7. That was running now just turns over got gas and spark. I'm a back yard man myself. And I'm lost. Plugs are wet from turning over. Help please |
#1206/28/10 09:19Nic Dorsey | I have a 92 Honda civic lx 1.5 liter and the problem I'm having now is that when I bought the car I was unaware that it had a alarm system on it because it didn't have a controller for it. Well one day that I feel up the car and left it sit and next morning a dead battery was what I had from the gay alarm system. I charged the battery and try it and nothing happened so I took the alarm off and it cranked over but no start. I checked the disturtor and fuel pump and both weren't getting any current. So I replace the main relay and still nothing. So I replaced the ecu and still nothing so I'm completely stuck on this problem. Please help and maybe send me pics of anything that will help me. |
| When I bought my car the first thing that happened was that it just shut down and wont start again.. the problem back then was the start module. So I replaced it. Now i'm having trouble starting at hot sunny days. I guess and hope it's the main rele. |

#1511/12/10 21:53esmailer | hi, i have a honda civic dx 94 engine 1.5 stick shift transmission, the problem i have it's that it just shut down while i was driving it and never started back up i had the same problem before and i replaced the ingnision coil and it ran good for a while but this time i did the samething but no luck i even sprayed the intake but seems like there is no spark... can anybody help please giving me some ideas.. thanks.. |
