We have Honda CRV 2006. It was inspected, tires rotated/balanced, breakes resufaced, in April this year.

We noticed that VSA and ABS lights are on and they stay on while we are driving the car.

Mechanic checked the car and said it is system failure and to fix it would cost us $2, 000!

Warranty expired in March this year. The car is almost brand new; it is 3 years old and has only 23 000 mileage. And it is used only while I am shopping (not often).

If it is a system failure it should be repair at no cost, I believe.

Should we check with another mechanic?.

hi i have the same problem on my crv2005. checked with dealer error code 66 1 brake pressure senson failure and he says ineed to replace the vsa modulator for 1600 pounds

2001 3.2 TL abs and vsa light on. can anyone give me some idles. what's the problem. thank you

Yes, I have just got the same problem. Honda CRV Executive 2005, low mileage car. VSA and ABS lights on. Honda dealer says VSA modulator needs replacing £1437 + £140 labour. It still drives OK, but it can't pass the MOT without it being fixed. How common is this problem?

I have a 2006 Honda auto ex from new, it has done 12, 000 miles the VSA and ABS lights came on three weeks ago. I had it serviced and the garage said I need a new VSA unit at 1000 plus euro, fortunately the car is still under warranty and Honda are replacing it. I hope the new one lasts longer than the first one.

I have bought a 2007 plate HONDA CRV EXE .NOW IT SHOWS THE VSA AND ABS LIGHT ON.it got warranty so i hope honda will fix the problem.

Hi, I have an 2005 Honda Accord which has completed just 27, 000 miles and the VSA light is on. Fortunately I only purchased it 6 months ago and it is still under warrantee as it needs a new modulator at a cost of £1200 (GBP) plus labour. The dealers behaved as though this is a common failure. Lets hope the replacement is more reliable !

I have a 2005 crv and the VSA light came on at 4 years 66, 000 km and warranty is for up to 3 years 60, 000. Dealership said $2, 700 to replace so I obtained a part from an autosalvage company and the first one sent in was faulty and so I had to pay for 2 installations to the tune of $900 for part and installation! It has soured my taste for this vehicle and the price I paid for it for it to require such a pricey repair in such a short time frame!
