Honda-Accord - 2007 Honda Accord EX brakes clicking
Brady (63.71.120.26) - Mon Jun 30 11:32:10 2008
Whenever, I back the car up and apply the brakes for the first time after driving forward, I hear a loud clicking noise. It does not sound normal. I've taken it to the Honda dealership twice and they say this is okay. They acknowledge the noise and say it is part of the design. However, I've not heard it on 2 other 2007 Accords I've driven for comparison.

Brady, I have the exact same problem on my 2007 Honda Accord EX-L. I also get the same metallic click noise when I step on the accelerator (from full stop). I was told it is a normal noise from the Honda brake calipers when the pads spring back from the rotor. Honda tells dealers to apply caliper grease to the back of the pad but eventually the grease goes and the noise returns. (I also get squeaks from just the two front door seals up high by the ceiling when on rough roads...was told that was common too.)

I have a 2009 honda acc, that I purchased In March 2009, shortly after that I have been to the dealers about 5 times with the same as you may call it "pigs noise, grinding, squeeking brakes..) It is really agrevating and embarrasing to have a brand new car and no one knows what its is.... This is what I have done so far... Went to the dealer again 08/25/09... asked for all my complains tickets since April- August 2009, ..went to the state web site "Lemon Law" there is a letter that you can use as a template and complete your complaint, letter needs to go to the manufacture, list is also online. I just mailed the letter to American Honda Motor today they have 7 days to correct the problem and then I submit to the AG in Mass. I hope that this will help you guys on your journey.
