Honda-Accord - 2006 Honda Accord Brakes

I recently bought a 2006 Honda Accord Ex and there is a clanking noise when I engage the brakes. Happens more often that I can ignore. I was told by the dealer service department that it is just a noise this model makes and I would have to get used to it. Had to do with pads "dropping or setting"? I was also told it would get louder as the pads wear. Has anyone heard of this? Seems wrong.Thanks...Bill

I do not know what could cause such an issue, but buying used cars tend to have matters of a problematic nature occurring. I have heard of such an issue before, and as been mentioned, I simply believe that it could be the brake pads, maybe they are not aligned correctly. I could be extremely wrong on the subject matter for cars are not my expertise.

Have to agree with that Eve. I also think that if you buy used cars you also bought with it some issues, like your case a clanking noise. However, you could always check on some ideas on the net. Or better yet, go for professional help with this matter. Car is not just a thing that cost a little, so if you doubt yourself with regards to repair and troubleshooting then have someone who knows the whole process to do it for you.

Surely one that knows the process will know best, and used cars definitely cause problems that only a mechanic, or a person with sufficient car knowledge can handle.
