OVER HEATED NOW MAKES CLANKING NOISE

MY car over heated the other day. Now it did it agin but this time it the heaters not working and it makes a wierd clanking noise. I did add water the time I notice it was over heating. My question is, Do you think its the head gasket?

I do not know.. just try going to the nearest auto shop near your place, an auto mechanic will help you more and would give you more factual details..
