93 geo tracker high idle problem

just purchased in VGC w 178k miles, at times would idle normal when warmed up, after 3 more tanks of gas, now idles continually @ 1800-2000 rpm. i see idle air control valves for $250 (!!!) what gives?

Well I did cleaned up the idle valve and then, after it seems to work good, I adjusted the screw under a black rubber cap next to the tps. Check and or disconect the cable coming from the pedal, sometimes it somehow get too tight and pulls. Check all vacum.
